Law of Proportion
An idea about how scale, context, and position can change apparent meaning or impact.
Where This Came From
I have not yet added the experience that led to this idea.
What I Noticed
Something that appears small from one position can carry more weight from another.
The Question
What changes when the scale or the position changes?
What I Call It
Law of Proportion is my name for this observational principle. The name does not make it a physical law.
Working Definition
The apparent meaning or impact of something may change with scale, context, position, time, distance, access, or responsibility.
Example
A delay can look minor in a long schedule and significant to someone waiting for the next step. This illustrates a change in context, not a universal calculation.
What This Does Not Claim
Law of Proportion is not presented as a universally established physical law.
Limitations
This wording is broad. It does not define a unit of proportion or predict how much an impact will change.
What I Still Do Not Know
The idea needs clearer boundaries and examples that also test where it fails.
